アブストラクト | Tumor necrosis factor alpha inhibitors (anti-TNFalpha) drugs may give rise to serious adverse effects resulting from immunosupresion [1]. Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is a neoplasm that affects the vascular endothelium; infection with type-8 human herpesvirus (HHV-8) and immunosuppression are both necessary etiological factors for this condition to occur [2]. To address the potential causal relationship between KS and anti-TNFalpha drugs, we conducted a case-non case study in the WHO pharmacovigilance database, VigiBase. |
